The situation
What finance needed to control
Following acquisition, the group held two charts of accounts, two close processes and different rules for recognising enrolment revenue. Consolidation depended on manual mapping.
Revenue arrived months before programmes ran. The group needed a common view of bookings, cash, deferred revenue and recognition across two currencies and a fixed seasonal calendar.
What TechFarben did
Built the operating path end to end
- Designed one group chart, one close calendar and one definition for enrolment revenue before changing either system.
- Implemented the group finance structure across both entities with correct currencies and intercompany treatment.
- Brought booking, collection and deferred revenue data into one reporting model.
- Extended working approval and control processes across the acquired entity.
- Pooled ongoing finance systems support across the group.
The result
What changed in operation
The group now has one consolidated close and one view of enrolment revenue across both companies and currencies.
Reporting is produced from the operating system rather than rebuilt each period. Support capacity is shared instead of duplicated.
