The situation

What finance needed to control

Merchant billing moved from an internal commerce platform into a finance system with fixed interface limits. Volume spikes could exceed the submission window and leave invoices uncreated.

The failure mode was quiet. Finance could discover a missing transaction at close, well after the original order had passed through the platform.

What TechFarben did

Built the operating path end to end

  • Specified the complete order-to-cash path before building, including identifiers, states, amendments and partial orders.
  • Built a scheduler that queues, meters and retries submissions within the available interface window.
  • Surfaced every exception as an actionable record with the context needed to resolve it.
  • Transferred source code and documentation to the client.
  • Retained support for monitoring, response and continuing change.

The result

What changed in operation

The platform absorbed ten times the transaction volume within the existing licence tier. The interface ceiling is managed by design instead of purchased around.

Order-to-cash runs without manual intervention. Failures are visible, traceable and recoverable. The client owns the asset.
